Sato-zakura Group
Selected and raised by Mr Masatoshi Asari in Matsumae at the southern tip of Hokkaido, northern Japan in 1970 from hybridizing P. ‘Minakama’ with P. ‘Kechimiyaku-zakura’.
Pale-pink double flowers opening white and flat from purplish pink buds.
Another very beautiful, but very slow growing cherry that will not be commercially viable.
