Trade name - Chocolate Ice. Raised/selected by Masatoshi Asari in Hokkaido, Northern Japan and introduced to th UK in 2000. Large single to semi-double flowers, white with a faint pink flush. Eventually forms an umbrella-shaped tree. Young foliage is a deep bronze.
