Biography

I graduated with a Master of Pharmacy from Aston University in 2003. I have postgraduate qualifications in Clinical Pharmacy with Medicines Management and in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education.

Prior to joining Keele, I had a number of roles in community pharmacy including store manager, teacher practitioner, eLearning designer and care homes pharmacist.

In 2015, I joined Keele university as a teaching fellow, then as a lecturer in pharmacy practice. I was promoted to senior lecturer in 2020.

I am a Director of the UK Clinical Pharmacy Association, with an area of responsibility of Education Support.

I am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) and regularly mentor and review applications for Senior Fellowship and Fellowship of the HEA via Keele’s CPD route.

My areas of interest for teaching and scholarship include career development skills, pain and palliative care, and student wellbeing.

I co-authored a book in 2018 (A Practical Guide to Medicines Management), with fellow Keele academic Dr. Rebecca <Venables.
