Biography

I trained in Diagnostic Imaging in South Africa and worked there until 1992 when I began to travel extensively with my family. In 1996, I settled in Ireland and worked in St Vincent's University Hospital in Dublin until I was seconded to University College Dublin in 2000. I worked at University College Dublin until 2014 when I moved to the UK to work at University of Hertfordshire until April 2017.

Research and scholarship

I have a Higher Diploma in Radionuclide Imaging from University College Dublin and then went on to complete my Masters in Radionuclide Imaging in 2002. In 2010, I completed my PhD (Medicine) in Optimisation of Mammographic Examinations. I have wide research interest and currently have 3 PhD students (2 in Radiography and one in Physiotherapy).

Teaching

I have a wide range of teaching interests apart from all radiography related subjects. I am particularly interested in infection control, research methods and medical ethics.
