Symposium on Humanities Discourse and the Passing Life

Posted on 07 November 2009

To mark the beginning of the project, we held a symposium on ‘Humanities Discourse and the Passing Life’, which took place at Keele University on Saturday 7th November 2009.

The symposium provided a national conversational forum for researchers from humanities and social science disciplines who have a common interest in understanding ageing and intergenerational dynamics.

Speakers included Professor Alan Walker (Director of the NDA programme), Dr Helen Small (Pembroke, Oxford), Dr Alastair Williams (Music, Keele) and Professors Gordon McMullan (English, King's, London) and Sam Smiles (Art History, Plymouth).
