Health subjects at Keele ranked among the UK’s best in the Daily Mail University Guide 2027
Several health subjects at Keele University have been ranked among the UK’s best in the Daily Mail University Guide 2027.
Nursing and Midwifery is ranked 2nd in the UK, Medicine 3rd, and Pharmacy 9th, recognising the quality of teaching, student experience, and graduate outcomes across Keele’s health subjects.
The Daily Mail University Guide 2027 measures UK universities across 12 indicators, covering student satisfaction with teaching quality, the support they receive, and their overall university experience, alongside two measures of graduate employment outcomes, as well as research quality and income.
Professor Mark Ormerod OBE, Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Provost of Keele University, said: “I’m really delighted that Keele’s health subjects have performed so well in the Daily Mail University Guide 2027. The results are testament to the outstanding, sector-leading quality of teaching in health at Keele, and the really strong links Keele health students have with our local and regional hospitals and healthcare trusts, as well as GP and community healthcare settings, providing an excellent level of hands-on experience with patients in a wide variety of settings.”
More than 200 of the University’s healthcare academics also work on the NHS frontline across Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire and Shropshire, bringing valuable real-world experience back into the classroom.
Keele students benefit from modern, well-equipped teaching facilities and teaching from research-active staff, with modern teaching approaches and cohorts that enable deeper engagement with tutors and fellow students.
