Mathematics at Keele ranked among Top 10 in the UK
Keele has ranked among the Top 10 universities in the UK to study Mathematics in an esteemed national newspaper ranking.
The Guardian University Guide 2026 has seen Keele ranked 7th in the UK for its Mathematics course, scoring highly for student satisfaction and graduate prospects.
Keele’s course is accredited by the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications (IMA), with students exploring explores essential mathematical principles, concepts, and applications, along with opportunities to explore specific areas and specialisations.
Students also learn from research-active academics and benefit from dedicated professional and employability modules, as well as opportunities to spend time in industry, helping them to develop the practical, logical reasoning and problem-solving skills required for a wide variety of careers.
Dr Chris Hughes, Head of the School of Computer Science and Mathematics at Keele, said: “This recognition is a testament to the hard work of our staff and students. We are proud to offer a Mathematics programme that combines strong theoretical foundations with practical experience, ensuring our graduates are well prepared for careers in industry, education, and beyond.”
