Keele ranked No.1 in the West Midlands for Politics in the Guardian University Guide 2026
The Guardian's University Guide 2026 has seen Politics at Keele ranked No.1 in the region - and sixth nationally - based on a range of metrics including student experience, research quality, and teaching excellence.
Professor Siobhan Talbott, Head of the School of Humanities & Social Sciences, said: "We're delighted that in the recent Guardian league tables, Politics at Keele was ranked 6th nationally, and number one in the West Midlands.
"Our final year students, through the National Student Survey (NSS), gave us particularly high scores for satisfaction with teaching quality and feedback, which is testament to the expertise and dedication of our teaching team.
"Students on this course benefit from the engagement of the programme with external organisations, as staff from the UK Parliament, as well as polling organisations, deliver some teaching sessions. All students on this programme and across the School of Humanities & Social Sciences have the option to take a work placement as part of their degree, helping to prepare them for life after they graduate."
These rankings continue a streak of positive accolades for Keele courses this year, including 15 Keele subjects being ranked in the Top 10 in England in the latest National Student Survey earlier in the summer.
