Keele ranked No.1 in the UK for Chemistry in National Student Survey
Keele has been ranked by students as No.1 in the UK for Chemistry in the National Student Survey 2025 (NSS 2025).
The NSS is a high-profile annual survey of nearly half a million final year undergraduate students across the UK which gathers opinions from students about their time in higher education, asking them to provide honest feedback over 27 questions on what it has been like to study on their course at their university or college.
Universities are given an overall score based on students’ assessments of a variety of topics like teaching, assessment, and learning resources on their course, with Chemistry students at Keele ranking their university as the best in the country, with 96% expressing satisfaction with their course.
Students on Keele’s suite of Chemistry courses benefit from state-of-the-art industry quality facilities in the university’s Central Science Laboratories, learning from research-active lecturers who are prominent in their fields.
Professor Tasnim Munshi, Head of the School of Chemical and Physical Sciences at Keele, said: “We are absolutely delighted that our Chemistry students have rated Keele as the best in the UK. Their feedback highlights the supportive learning environment we strive to create, the enthusiasm of our staff, and the value of hands-on learning in our excellent facilities. This recognition means a great deal to us, as it comes directly from our students.”
