Keele University’s Pro Vice-Chancellor for Research and Enterprise Professor David Amigoni has been appointed to The Conversation’s editorial board.
The board is made up of representatives from member universities who work with the organisation’s editor, Stephen Khan, to devise the editorial strategy. Professor Amigoni’s role will help steer the growth and development of The Conversation. The Conversation is an independent source of news and views, sourced from the academic and research community and delivered directly to the public. It is a not-for-profit charity operating with a creative commons license, and articles written for The Conversation can subsequently be republished in national newspapers all over the world.
Professor Amigoni said: “I am delighted to have been appointed to The Conversation’s editorial board, and to have the opportunity to work with the editors and other member universities. I am looking forward to contributing to the platform’s editorial strategy and to shaping its growth, and to furthering Keele's commitment to widening public engagement with research."
Keele University is hosting a Conversation workshop on campus on Wednesday February 6th at 1.30pm. The workshop is an opportunity for academics and PhD students to find out more about The Conversation, including the kind of articles they are looking for, how to write articles, and how to get your article published.
For any colleagues who would like to join the Conversation Workshop, please book a free place here.
