Willard Carter is a cellist currently studying at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin with Antje Weithaas. In May 2026 he was selected to join the roster of the Young Classical Artists Trust (YCAT) and named its Anniversary Artist, also becoming a joint YCAT–Concert Artists Guild (USA) Artist. Willard has performed at Wigmore Hall, the Charterhouse, Goldsmiths’ Hall, Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle. His 2019 Buckingham Palace performance was later broadcast on Classic FM, who described him as one of the “young stars… shaping the future of the music we love.”

Highlights of Willard’s 2026/27 season include a return to Wigmore Hall, debuts at the Barber Institute of Fine Arts Birmingham and Brighton Dome, and performances at the Nicolaihaus and Piano Salon Christophori in Berlin. Past engagements include recitals at the Gstaad Menuhin and Solsberg Festivals, a televised performance of Brahms’ Double Concerto at the Teatro Romano in Mérida for the Queen of Spain, appearances at the Radio Classique Festival in St Malo, the Gstaad New Year Festival and the Auditorio Nacional in Madrid, and recitals across Europe and the United States.

Described as having “the potential to become a major voice in the classical music world” (Peter Donohoe CBE), Madeleine Brown graduated with a BA in Music from Trinity College, Cambridge, and now studies with Kathryn Stott at the Royal Northern College of Music, with whom she recently appeared on BBC Radio 3 In Tune. In 2025 she won the RNCM Gold Medal Competition and was awarded the RNCM Silver Medal by the Worshipful Company of Musicians, joining its Young Artist Programme. In 2026 she makes her debut at the Ryedale Festival as a Waverley Young Artist, alongside performances for Leeds Lunchtime Concerts and the Sunday Piano Series at the Royal Concert Hall, Nottingham. Madeleine has received masterclass tuition from Sir Stephen Hough, Richard Goode, Philippe Cassard and Leon McCawley, and is supported by the Robert Turnbull Piano Foundation and the Drake Calleja Trust.
