Lantern Making Workshop

Join Keele University Lantern Walk 2026, the glowing finale of the Keele Diversity Festival, but first, begin your journey by crafting a lantern of your own…

Guided by the creative team behind the Newcastle‑under‑Lyme Lantern Parade, this drop‑in workshop invites you to shape willow, tissue paper, and light into something uniquely yours.

Workshop 3
Where: Chancellor's Atrium Space - next to Kitchen Table
Time and date: Thursday 15 October, 11am–3pm
No booking required – just drop in.

Your lantern will be safely stored to dry and prepared for collection on the evening of the Lantern Walk, which will gently light its way across campus at 7pm on Tuesday 20 October. Gather at Union Square from 6:30pm, where the Forest of Light will glow to life and the walk will begin. A short, procession celebrating creativity, belonging, and the magic of shared light.

With thanks to the Keele Key Fund for supporting Keele Lantern Parade 2026.
