Keele Hall Readings presents Nicolai Duffy

Author Event: Nikolai Duffy – Keele Hall Reading of Common

📅 Monday 16 March 2026

⏰ 6.00pm

📍 Raven Mason Suite, Keele Hall, Keele University

Join us for a special evening with writer and academic Nikolai Duffy, who will be giving a reading from his debut novel Common in the historic surroundings of Keele Hall.

Nikolai Duffy is a writer and teacher in the School of English at Manchester Metropolitan University, where he co-directs the Manchester Poetry Group. His work spans genres and forms, with two published cross‑genre poetry collections and the literary non-fiction study Relative Strangeness: Reading Rosmarie Waldrop. His writing has been performed internationally, and in 2019 he was awarded a prestigious UNESCO City of Literature Residency in Ljubljana.

Common marks Duffy’s first venture into the novel form, offering readers a fresh and compelling new voice in contemporary fiction.

This event is a wonderful opportunity to hear an emerging novelist share his work, discuss his creative process, and connect with readers and colleagues in a relaxed and inspiring setting.

All staff, students, and members of the public are warmly invited.

Come along, discover a new literary voice, and enjoy an evening of conversation and creativity at Keele Hall.
