Circular Weaving Workshop
Circular Weaving Community Workshop
Saturday 25 April 2026 | 11am–3pm | Keele in Town
Join us at Keele in Town between 11am and 3pm for a welcoming, drop‑in creative workshop led by local artist Fran Buxton. Fran will guide participants in a circular weaving activity, using found and recycled textiles and materials inspired by soft blossom colours.
Drawing on principles of reuse and sustainability, the workshop invites people of all ages and experience levels to experiment with texture, colour and pattern, weaving together reclaimed fabrics and materials into circular forms.
Each woven piece created during the day will become part of a community installation including sun‑catchers which were made in a workshop earlier in the week at the Blossom Picnic, helping to build a larger shared artwork shaped by many hands. Together, these contributions will form a vibrant, evolving installation celebrating creativity, connection and collective making.
FREE drop in, no booking required.
This activity is part of the festival of People, Planet and Place a weeklong festival organised by Keele University. On Saturday Keele in Town is the base for the festival where you will find a range of creative activities including lego making, crafts, colouring and information stands.
