Creative Approaches to Islamophobia

Join us for a participatory workshop exploring creative ways of understanding and responding to Islamophobia in online and offline contexts.

Drawing on research from Keele University’s Contesting Islamophobia Online project, this session will use a range of creative techniques to open up discussion and collective reflection. Activities may include:

  • Analysing social media discourse through visual and artistic methods
  • Drama games and group exercises to explore stereotypes and resistance
  • Blackout poetry, soundscapes, and drawing as tools for insight
  • Group reflection on how communities can respond with care and creativity

The workshop is open to anyone interested in research, community wellbeing, or creative approaches to social issues. No previous experience is required.
