Promo popup (one-time notice)
This block shows a popup once per visitor. After someone closes it, they won’t see it again unless you change the version.
Fields
Promo version – Use a number or short code (e.g. 1, 2, or 2025-02). When you change this and publish, everyone will see the popup again once, then it hides again after they close it.
Promo title – The heading inside the popup.
Promo body – The main text and any links (you can use the editor’s formatting).

Using it
Add this content type to the page or section where the popup should appear (e.g. in a global footer so it can show on every page).
To show a new message to everyone, update the content, change Promo version to a new value (e.g. from 1 to 2), and publish.
Reload
If you've already closed the popup once, you can force it show once more every time you load a url with the paremeter ?promo_show=1 at the end of the URL e.g. https://www.keele.ac.uk/websupport/scaffolding/promopopup/?promo_show=1
