Hi, my name is Muzz, and I do Marketing and Media at Keele.
I did my internship at VCCP through The Challenger Academy working as a Marketing Intern.
On my internship, I worked on VCCP's flagship clients, O2 and Charlie Bigham’s, to come up with a marketing campaign that was grounded in strategic research.
We visited VCCP London and we also went to the TikTok headquarters in London to do some workshops and get an insight into the corporate life working a 9 to 5.
VCCP's office in London was very different to how I imagined a corporate life would be. I always thought it would be very professional and just very strict but going there showed me how calm and chill it actually is. It made me more open to going into a corporate life seeing how helpful and open everyone was and how welcoming it all was.
I've learned so much in my Marketing and Media degree, but I never really got to work on real brands. But through this internship, I really just got to do that.
I received a lot of support from both the placement provider and Keele itself. In fact, I found out about this internship through the placements team at Keele. They told me about it. They were always checking in to make sure that I'm making good progress. And if I needed any help, they were always there, just an email away.
My biggest advice to anyone wanting to do a placement is don't feel like you're in it alone. Reach out to the placements team and they'll be there for you throughout the way.
