Meet Dr Bleddyn Davies, Head of School of Law at Keele University.

This video was published on Thursday 30 October.

Hello, my name is Bleddyn Davies and I'm proud to be the Head of the School of Law here at Keele.

Congratulations on getting your offer to come and study with us, and I look forward to welcoming you here soon.

We're a distinctive profile as a law school, taking a critical approach to legal education, seeking to understand the law in its wider social context.

While you're here, our priority is your education and student experience. You'll benefit from individualised academic support. You'll be taught by leading researchers who are passionate about their field, as well as authors of the textbooks who will all want you to succeed.

All of our degrees offer a wide range of choice, so you can shape your education around your career aspirations or academic interests across a wide range of areas of law, including international law, commercial law, human rights and legal practise.

Throughout your time at Keele, you'll meet practising legal professionals at our annual law fair or other career related events.

There'll also be plenty of other opportunities to practice your professional skills, whether through helping people in court in the CLOCK scheme or through giving people legal advice when they need it in our Small Claims or Commercial Legal Advice clinics.

There are plenty of wider opportunities available for students at Keele, whether that's studying a language or taking a work placement year. You could join a thriving student society like our Law Society, or you could take part in mooting or one of the many other competitions that keep our students busy when they're not studying.

I look forward to welcoming you to the School of Law at Keele University.

Thank you for watching, I hope to see you soon.
