Additional opportunities at Keele

There are many ways to build your knowledge and skills, and enhance your career prospects at Keele.

Many of our courses include the opportunity to study abroad, learn a foreign language, take a work placement, or enhance your degree though exciting routes of elective study called Global Challenge Pathways. Global Challenge Pathways allow you to explore current debates in areas such as Sustainability, Social Justice, Global Health, Digital Futures, Enterprise, and Languages and Culture, enhancing your understanding and employability, and complementing your chosen subject. There are opportunities to take part in volunteering and mentoring, along with support in finding a range of paid employment opportunities.

Many of our courses include the opportunity to study abroad. You can choose to spend a semester or year abroad at one of our partner universities through our Global Opportunities scheme. Studying abroad is the perfect way to explore the world, gain vital skills and increase your employability.

Placement opportunities

A placement allows you to gain hands-on experience, develop key skills, and get a better understanding of the industry you’re interested in, all helping to boost your employability when you graduate. Placements can be undertaken in local businesses, or further afield, depending on your circumstances and career ambitions. Keele students have completed placements with a wide range of employers, including AstraZeneca, Bentley Motors, L’Oreal and Nintendo.
