How to register for modules

Progress or proceed

Progress

You progress into your next level of study when you have sucessfully passed all of your modules.

Allowed to proceed

Although you have not passed all of your credits you may be allowed to proceed into your next level of study. You will still need to make good your failed modules, this is usually in the August re-assessment period but can be during your next level of study.

You will be allowed to proceed into Level 5 if you have passed at least 90 credits at Level 4 AND, if studying two subjects, you have failed no more than 15 credits in each subject AND you still have reassessment opportunities available to enable you to pass all of your outstanding Level 4 credits.

If you meet this condition, then you will be required to take and pass the required reassessment whilst studying at Level 5 during the next academic year.

You will be allowed to proceed into Level 6 study, if you have passed all 120 level 4 credits and have passed 105 level 5 credits, provided you have a reassessment opportunity remaining on your failed 15 level 5 credits.

If you meet this condition, then you will have to pass these outstanding 15 level 5 credits during your level 6 study, or you will not be awarded a degree award.
