If you need 0 Level 5 elective credits

If you are told you need to take a minimum of 0 (zero) elective credits you do not need to take any elective modules 

If you are told you need to take a minimum of 0 elective credits and a maximum of 15 credits you can choose ONE elective if you want to. 

If you are told you need to take a minimum of 0 elective credits and a maximum of 30 credits you can choose up to TWO electives if you want to. 

If you are told you need to take a minimum of 0 elective credits and a maximum of 45 credits you can choose up to THREE electives if you want to. 

If you are told you need to take a minimum of 0 elective credits and a maximum of 60 credits you can choose up to FOUR electives if you want to. 

You do not have to choose any electives if you do not wish to.  This is because you can make up all of your 120 credits this year with either Compulsory or Option modules from your programme.

Balance your workload 

When selecting your electives please bear in mind when your other modules are being taught.  You should ensure that you balance your workload over the academic year.  To do this please take note which semester your compulsory modules are being taught and which semester any options you choose are being taught.

If you need 15 Level 5 credits

If you are told you need to take a minimum of 15 elective credits you MUST choose ONE elective module.

If you are told that you need to take a maximum of 15 elective credits but the minimum is 0 (zero) you can choose ONE elective if you want to but you do not have to choose an elective if you do not wish to.  This will mean that you can make up all of your 120 credits this year with either Compulsory or Option modules from your programme.
