Christina Schoettler

Biography

After completing a business degree in Germany, Christina started a career in industry. After moving to the UK in 2007, she discovered the Open University, which offers university-level distance learning and began studying there in 2009. In 2014, she completed a part-time BSc (Hons) in Physical Sciences with a focus on Astronomy. Christina then moved on to a part-time MSc in Astrophysics at Liverpool John Moores University, graduating in 2017. Her full-time PhD in Astronomy took her to the University of Sheffield, where she focussed on star cluster formation and evolution, completing it in 2022. She was a Research Associate in star/planet formation and evolution at Imperial College London until the end of 2024 and is now at Keele University.
