| Overview | Despite substantial investment in mental health research, a persistent implementation gap remains between the generation of evidence and its implementation into routine practice. This PhD aims to address this gap by systematically examining the role of public partnerships in the implementation of mental health research. Specifically, it will explore the mechanisms through which partnership processes (e.g. co-production, trust-building, shared decision-making, and power-sharing) shape the design and delivery of implementation processes. By focusing on the implementation of research, the study responds to calls for more nuanced, theory-informed explorations of public involvement that move beyond descriptive accounts to examine causal pathways and outcomes. |
