Biography
Ben is a Lecturer in Education who joined Keele University in January 2026. Ben's research and teaching focuses on how we can rethink education to support greater inclusion and criticality with particular specialism in critical pedagogy and queer theory. Previously, Ben was Senior Lecturer in Education, Childhood and Professional Studies and programme leader for Studies in Primary Education at Birmingham Newman University and prior to that spent eight years as a primary school teacher and leader working across the UK in a diverse range of settings and contexts.
