Biography
I have some thirty years experience of ELT and Skills Training, initially at the chalk face in Europe and South East Asia and more extensively in centre and institutional management across Latin America, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. More recently I have been working with Ministries on Education reform programmes in Abu Dhabi and Nairobi before joining the Keele collaboration programme in here in Beijing.
I hold an MEd in TEFL and had spent the greater part of my career with the UK’s cultural relations organization, based primarily overseas. The experience has prompted my particular area of interest around notions of small cultures, identity and cultural appropriacy in educational approach and method.
