Literature Search Request for Clinical Questions
Complete the online form to request a literature search on a clinical question, involving patient care, clinical or nursing practice.
This service is only available to NHS staff working for our NHS partner organisations and Keele staff working in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.
If your literature search request meets our criteria*, we will offer you the opportunity to receive a summarised report of the literature. This would involve the librarian taking the list of references retrieved as part of the literature search and then extracting and commenting upon the key evidence.
Please note that summaries are not offered as standard as they involve a substantial amount of additional work for the librarian.
*Criteria for offering literature search summaries:
- The search question must lend itself to a summary. Some questions are too broad for a meaningful summary.
- Is there potential for the literature search request to have a significant impact on the organisation? Examples of such would include informing organisational policy, decision-making at board level or development of services.
- Does the deadline date give the librarian sufficient time to produce a summary?
