Arrival
When should I arrive?
It is recommended to arrive at least 2 hours prior to the start of the ceremony.
Where shall I park?
When arriving on campus, parking attendants will be on hand to help you park. There are no parking charges on campus during graduation ceremonies.
What if I’m late?
If you are running late for your ceremony, please call the Graduation Team on 01782 734206 to make them aware, or if you have already arrived on campus, you must make yourself known to the Graduation Welcome Team situated outside the Chapel and you will be advised accordingly. You must arrive at the Chapel in your academic attire at least 45 minutes prior to your ceremony time, otherwise there may be a chance you will not be able to attend the ceremony.
Collect tickets
Once you have arrived on campus, make your way to the Chancellor's Building in the centre of Campus. In Chancellor's Foyer, you will be able to collect your ticket and your guest tickets for your ceremony, as well as tickets for our graduation reception at Keele Hall. Please ensure you have your confirmation email to hand and proof of ID. The ticket desk will open from 08:00 on your graduation day.
Please note, only graduands are allowed entry to collect tickets and gowns. You will be able to meet your guests afterwards before going to have official photographs taken.
Collect gown
Once you have collected your tickets, you will then collect your gown in the Chancellor's Social Space. Please ensure you have your tickets and gown confirmation email ready to present to a staff member.
Official photography
Once you have collected your tickets and gown, it is recommended that you have your official photographs taken prior to your ceremony.
Tempest Photography will be available to take portrait and family group photographs in the Chancellor's Social Space from 08:00 on your graduation day.
There is no need to pre-book a slot for your official photographs. Photography will be open 08:00 - 18:00.
A ‘proof-on-the-day’ service, which means you do not need to pre-order anything, and will receive instant ‘proofs’ to take away and with no obligation to buy.

Head over to the Chapel
Please make sure you are at the Chapel at least 45 minutes before your ceremony time. Your guests should be at the Chapel at least 30 minutes prior to your ceremony start time.

Travel, parking and maps
Cloakroom
Cloakroom facilities will be available in the SU Building. Please note, you will not be able to bring bags or any additional items into the Chapel.
Lost property
Should you lose an item during your graduation ceremony in the Chapel, please ask one of our team at the Chapel, who will be able to find out if it has been handed in. If after graduation, lost items are held at the Sports Centre and kept for a maximum of 3 months.
