Keele University International Study Centre

Keele University International Study Centre (KUISC) operated by Study Group will close to new students from the end of the 2019-20 academic year. This decision comes after both Keele University and Study Group mutually agreed to end their relationship for the International Study Centre. The University and the International Study Centre will continue to support students to complete their courses and progress successfully onto further study at the University.

Over the past ten years, Study Group and Keele University have helped many international students to achieve their academic goals and progress to Keele University courses. In doing so, these students have benefited from the opportunity to study at a university which is consistently ranked in the Top 3 UK universities for student satisfaction.

We want to emphasise that we are extremely proud of the many accomplishments of all of our staff and the students who have studied at KUISC and at Keele.

Keele’s Pro Vice-Chancellor for Education, Professor Helen O’Sullivan, said: “The mutual decision between the University and Study Group to bring an end to our relationship forms part of a wider set of plans to build on the University’s increasing global profile, and continued growth in international student recruitment, underpinned by significant new investment, a new partnership to deliver online degree programmes globally, our prestigious partnership with Beijing Foreign Studies University, and creation of a new Directorate and senior leadership role for Global Student Recruitment & Admissions.”

As a result of the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, current students are transitioning to an online learning and assessment experience, led and supported by staff at the Centre. Study Group and Keele University are working together to provide them all with the opportunity to complete their study programme and progress to undergraduate study at Keele University. Study Group and Keele University are also working together to support staff through the closure process.

Keele University continues to provide a brilliant range of Foundation options for international students based in the heart of its stunning campus. Students will have the chance to experience life at Keele and gain the knowledge required to form the basis for a variety of courses to follow at degree level.
