Alumni Telethon
Most recent Telethon: 8-29 November 2020
Every year, Keele University runs a Telethon, where current students contact graduates in order to gain a valuable insight into their experiences after Keele, whilst also allowing alumni to hear about the University's latest achievements and developments.
Telethons allow the University to continue to build strong relationships with our alumni, whilst in turn offering former students a chance to make a direct impact on current and future Keele cohorts. Any money raised through the Telethons goes directly to supporting Keele students through a variety of projects, funds, bursaries and scholarships.
We are deeply grateful to our supporter community; the cumulative impact of many people joining together is transformational. Over 900 alumni have pledged their support to Keele; with donations totalling £500,000 since our first fund, the Keele Key Fund, was established in 2007. Alumni can also help by volunteering their time to give guest lectures, offer work placements, host career tours for our current students, and by providing testimonials of their Keele experience that we can share with current and prospective students.
How can I support?

The Keele Hardship Fund Appeal
Although long-established, never has the University’s Hardship Fund seen such a demand for help. Due directly to the impact of COVID-19, many of our students have suddenly found themselves struggling to make ends meet. Grants from this fund provide a much-needed temporary lifeline, helping to alleviate some of the desperate financial situations in which students and their families have found themselves, ensuring that every student can fulfil their potential and experience an excellent education, just as you did.

The Keele Key Fund
The Keele Key Fund supports innovative projects which directly impact the student experience at Keele. Promoting social mobility and widening participation is a key priority at Keele University and this would not be possible without the generosity of our alumni, friends and funding partners, alongside significant University investment. This philanthropic support enables Keele to develop and expand its programmes to meet the changing demands of the student community in the 21st century.
