RefWorks is the Library’s subscription reference management software available online and free to Keele staff and students.
RefWorks will save you time when managing references and you can:
• Collect and manage references to articles, books and websites
• Import references from online databases, Library Search and Google Scholar
• Create folders and share them with colleagues
• Quickly produce a bibliography/reference list that you can insert into your documents
• Save unlimited references and documents
You can even continue to use RefWorks after leaving Keele by applying for alumni access. Just email: firstname.lastname@example.org with your details.

The Library service offers RefWorks training at the Campus and Health Libraries.
“…In a Nutshell” – RefWorks training is covered in our session, “Managing Your References …In a Nutshell”. Workshop times can be found on our In a Nutshell training page and need to be booked in advance.
“Information Skills for Research” – RefWorks training is part of our workshops for postgraduate researchers and academic staff. There are both basic and advanced workshops available. Workshop information can be found on our Information Skills for Research training page and booking is via Keele People.

Legacy RefWorks Users
Migrating Your Account to New RefWorks
Before migrating, please note: Do not migrate to new RefWorks until you have completed any documents attached to your existing “Legacy RefWorks” account. You can have a legacy and new RefWorks account at the same time as both are separate. Migrating will not delete your references from Legacy RefWorks.
The Library no longer provides training sessions or support for Legacy RefWorks. Help and support for Legacy RefWorks is available from the Legacy RefWorks Knowledge Center or by emailing Refworks support directly at email@example.com.
