Special Collections and Archives
Established in the 1950s, the Special Collections and Archives at Keele constitute a valuable tool for teaching and research, both within the University and beyond.
Collections are acquired by deposit, gift and purchase, and holdings span some 1400 linear metres of manuscript, printed and pictorial material.
Material relating to the social and industrial history of the Potteries is our particular strength. In addition, we hold several important collections of personal and research papers and a large archive charting the development of Sociology in Britain.
The Library is committed to ensuring these collections are exploited to their maximum advantage and made available to the general public as well as the academic community.
