Special Collections and Archives

Established in the 1950s, the Archives and Special Collections at Keele constitute a valuable tool for teaching and research, both within the University and beyond.

Collections are acquired by deposit, gift and purchase, and holdings span some 1400 linear metres of manuscript, printed and pictorial material.

Material relating to the social and industrial history of the Potteries is our particular strength. In addition, we hold several small, yet internationally important collections of personal and research papers.

The Library is committed to ensuring that our collections are exploited to their maximum advantage and made available to the general public as well as the academic community.
