The stand of trees by the entrance to Keele Hall comprises Sitka Spruce Pinus sitchensis, Scots Pine Pinus sylvestris, Western Hemlock Tsuga heterophylla and a single Douglas Fir Pseudotsuga menziesii. In winter it is worth keeping an eye and ear open for Crossbills. They like the pines here.
