Residence Life Managers

Our role is to support students who live in Halls of Residence, ensuring there is a sense of community so that students can relax, have fun and feel connected, settled and safe and secure. We want to ensure that your wellbeing is a key priority, as well as delivering campaigns and activities important to student life. We work closely with the Resident Advisers - who are a team of students on call to support you in the evenings and during the night.

Amy

Amy

I'm Amy, the Residence Life Manager linked with Holly Cross & The Oaks and Lindsay Halls in 2024/25.

I've worked at Keele for 8 years and am a former Keele student. Chat to me about baking, books and musicals if you have recommendations!

Kyle

Kyle

I'm Kyle, the Residence Life Manager for Barnes Hall 2024/25. Basically, I'm here to help make hall life less chaotic (or at least mildly organised chaos).
Massive gamer, movie nerd, and self-declared food critic—if it’s edible, I’ve probably reviewed it in my head like it’s a Michelin dish.
Born and bred in Manchester, so I call it a "Muffin," not a "Bap," and I stand by it.

If you ever want to debate the best boss fight of all time, swap film theories, or just chat —I'm your guy. Bonus points if you bring snacks.

Louise

Louise

I'm Louise and I'm the Residence Life Manager for Horwood Hall in 2024/25.

Outside of work I love spending time with my 2 children, going to the beach and visiting the farm!

Kara - Maternity Leave

Kara - Maternity Leave

I'm Kara and I'm currently on maternity leave.

I love anything Disney, spending time with family & friends and shopping! Alongside my role in Res Life, I also lead on the University's drug & alcohol impact programme, working to ensure Keele champions a harm reduction approach focused on support and education.

Elisha

Elisha

I'm Elisha and I'm one of the two Out of Hours Residence Life Managers.

Fiona

Fiona

I'm Fiona and I'm one of the two Out of Hours Residence Life Managers.

In my spare time I love crafting, and am a dab hand with a jigsaw and sander! I play the cornet and tenor horn in a brass band, and have what can only be described as an eclectic taste in music.

Student discipline

The student discipline team work together to develop a safe and inclusive student community, responding to incidents that are reported to us. We work across all aspect of student life and across the whole University community.

Resident Adviser Support

Resident Advisers are students who live in halls of residence, and are trained to provide support and respond to issues that may be experienced while living in halls. They work overnight 6pm to 8am on weekdays, and 24 hours on weekends and bank holidays. They can help with issues such as:

  • Homesickness and settling in
  • Flatmate disagreements and communal living
  • Noise disturbances
  • Getting involved in university life
  • Being a listening ear when you just need someone to talk to!

Each hall has its own team of Resident Advisers. All Resident Advisers can be contacted via Campus Safety on 01782 733999.
