As part of the institution-wide effort to identify and remove barriers for minority students, a new pilot scheme has been added to Keele Connect.
Our career e-mentoring platform, Keele Connect, allows all Keele students and alumni (graduates of Keele) to access career mentoring and professional networking via a digital online platform.
The changes will give mentees the choice to pick their mentors and opt to have a mentor from the same of similar racial and/or ethnic background.
Providing this mentoring support through Keele Connect will allow our current students to create connections and identify help to highlight role models for our Black, Asian and other ethnic minority students.
This pilot is completely optional and it is up to our mentors as to whether they want to disclose any identifying characteristics.

(This new pilot programme has been created by several colleagues across KIITE and the Alumni Team).
