What we provide and what you need to bring

In each Hall of Residence we provide all the facilities to help with independent living during your time at Keele.

A bedside cabinet is provided in some rooms.

You will need to provide your own duvet and pillow and will need to bring your own bed linen and towels – plus whatever creature comforts to add the finishing touches to your new home!

Holly Cross, The Oaks, Lindsay Court* and Barnes W & X - 3/4 bed also referred to as small double
Barnes Y & Z - Double bed - also referred to as standard double
Everywhere else - Single bed also referred to as 3ft 

(*please note that Lindsay Court is a block within Lindsay Halls.  All other blocks in Lindsay Hall have single beds)

The kitchens are equipped for self-catering with many, ‌but not all, having microwaves. ‌You will need to provide crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils, but try not to bring excessive amounts.

A toaster will be provided in kitchens for 2024/25.

Irons and ironing boards are not provided.

All electrical items that you bring to/use in your accommodation must have a CE Kitemark and be PAT tested.  If you can't do this before you arrive, don't worry - we provide free PAT testing sessions at the start of each semester (dates are advertised to all students by email).

If you'd like to bring fairy lights, these must be battery operated, CE kite marked, LED type and purchased in the UK.

The cleaning package includes communal areas, kitchens and en-suite bathrooms only. Communal areas are cleaned weekly and en-suites are cleaned fortnightly.
