Study design
This is a cross-sectional postal survey of 8000 patients from GP surgeries, half of whom have consulted with a musculoskeletal symptom. The prevalence of RA symptoms in the two groups will be compared.
Primary objective
The aim of this study is to determine the prevalence of common symptoms associated with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in patients consulting general practice with and without musculoskeletal symptoms.
