Continuing your Development as a Practice Educator
Trained Practice Educators are required to attend an update or Advanced session every 3 years.
The agenda for the day is flexible. It can be driven by attendees on the day of the course to incorporate issues raised during discussion. Various problem scenarios may be explored by the group, identifiying and sharing relevant management strategies and good practice.
All sessions are held at Keele University. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided. There are also various outlets on campus where lunch or other refreshments can be purchased. Car parking is usually reserved on campus, and a scratchcard premit can be purchased for £3 on arrival from SHAR reception in the Mackay Building.
Our available course dates are as follows:-
Tuesday 9th April 2019 1.30 - 4.30pm
September 2019 date to be confirmed
*If 10 or more educators from a clinical base wish to attend an advanced session, we can bring the session to your clinical base. Please contact the clinical team if this is something that you would like to enquire about.
We have also hold advanced sessions for specific specialities, for example a specific session for educators in Womens Health and Paediatrics. We will send out information to all liaison people in all bases when these sessions are running.
