Welcome to Organisational Development
The Organisational Development (OD) Team is the new home for a range of learning and development activity previously provided by the LPDC.
What does the Organisational Development (OD) team do?
We deliver the full programme professional development workshops including Keele Welcome, the Keele Knowledge Programme and the Personal Effectiveness and Leadership and Management workshops all of which will continue to be booked through Keele People.
We deliver leadership and management development including The Effective People Manager and the ILM L2 Introduction to Leadership and Teams programme. We also arrange the The New Leaders (induction) Programme, Mentoring for Leaders, and ‘First 100 days’ coaching for newly appointed Strategic Leaders as well as help to identify external leadership programmes as appropriate. In addition, we coordinate the Aurora Programme for Keele, overseeing recruitment to the programme, liaising with the LFHE and sourcing internal mentors for each Keele participant.
The Organisational Development Team provide bespoke learning and development events for teams across the university, including:
- Facilitation of strategic planning and development events
- Delivery / facilitation of team development and team away days
- Building individual and team capability ( eg project leadership )
- Working with teams to review and redesign work processes
We work with senior managers and project managers to provide organisational development (OD) support to strategic change programmes / projects, including the design and facilitation of change events, working with leadership teams to develop change leadership skills, the assessment of development needs and the delivery / commissioning of targeted development to support change and coaching and mentoring to develop and support individuals.
The Organisational Development team also coordinates the new Keele Coaching Framework, having established a pool of coaches, and provides coaching supervision, and developing CPD events for a new Coaching and Mentoring Network.
We are also responsible for developing resources for Learning Pool, the university staff Learning Management System and for supporting authors and designers of bespoke online learning resources.
