Cambridge Core
Cambridge University Press publishes a wide range of high-quality academic content across Cambridge Core, including leading journals.

EBSCO contains thousands of full-text journal articles across lots of subject areas. You can search all of the EBSCO collections at once, or limit to individual databases, such as:

  • Academic Search Complete: multi-disciplinary collections with access to lots of full-text journals.
  • British Education Index: All aspects of educational policy and administration, evaluation and assessment, technology and special educational needs.
  • ERIC: The Education Resource Information Center, provides access to education literature and resources.
  • MEDLINE: Useful for researching philosophy and medical ethics.
  • Philosopher's Index: Abstracts and summaries for books and journals in philosophy and related fields.
  • PsycINFO: Access to abstracts in the fields of psychology, behavioural and social sciences.

A journal database containing full-text international and US journals titles primarily regarding law and legal history.

Full-text access to the archive of many important journals, including several key titles for social sciences. JSTOR also provides access to a small collection of ebooks and archive material.

A legal database containing journals, case reports and UK legislation.

Oxford Academic Journals
A collection of more than 250 electronic journal titles from Oxford University Press with full-text access from 1996 to the latest issue for all titles.

Philpapers is a website that aims to be a comprehensive directory of online philosophy articles and books by academic philosophers.

Access to many different resources, including the International Bibliography of the Social Sciences (IBSS), Applied Social Sciences Index and Abstracts (ASSIA), the full-text Sociology Collection, Politics Collection, Education Collection, and Criminology Collection.

Sage Journals
A collection of over 600 full-text international peer-reviewed journals titles, dating back to 1999 for most titles.

An e-journals collection which contains the full-text of more than 1000 journals in the life, physical, medical, technical and social sciences.

Taylor & Francis Online
A collection of over 1500 journals from Taylor & Francis Online with full-text access from 1997 onwards for most titles.

Web of Science - Clarivate
Includes the Arts & Humanities Citation Index, Conference Proceedings, access to Journal Citation Reports and Book Citation Index.

Westlaw UK
Contains Law Reports, legislation and full-text access to legal journals.

Wiley Online Library
A collection of over 1400 journals from Wiley's Online Library with full-text access from 1997 onwards for most titles.

VLeBooks (previously DawsonEra)
One of our core ebook collections with many titles relevant for criminology, education, international relations, philosophy, politics and sociology.

ProQuest Ebook Central
This ebook platform is another of our core ebook collections.

European Newsstream - ProQuest
Provides the searchable full-text of articles published in around 30 UK newspapers including The Times, Telegraph, Guardian and The Independent.

A news and business service which includes around 12,000 publications, including worldwide, national and local newspapers.

The Times Digital Archive
Search the complete digital edition of The Times from 1785-2011. The entire newspaper is captured with all articles, advertisements and illustrations/photos.

Box of Broadcasts (BoB)
Box of Broadcasts (BoB) National is a TV and radio recording service and is freely available to all staff and students at Keele. Record and catch-up on programmes from 60+ TV and radio channels that have been broadcast in the last 30 days. You will need your Keele username and password to sign-in.

British Library EThOS
The British Library ETHOS project provides electronic access to research theses from many UK universities.

Google Scholar
The most famous web search engine can search for academic journals and literature too. In Google Scholar’s settings you can also customise your results to quickly see which of them you have full-text access to through Keele Library. To get this working, before you perform your search click on Settings and type 'keele' into the Library Links search box. Tick the Keele University – view online @Keele box, click on Save Preferences and you're ready to go. When you've typed in your search, any results with ‘view-online@Keele' link next to the title provide a direct link through to the article.

Keele Research Repository
A digital archive of research and enterprise output produced by Keele University staff.

Reference management software which you can use to import, manage and save references from your research, whether they are from books, library databases, journals, web pages or other sources. You will need your Keele username and password to access RefWorks.

Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy
A dynamic online reference work for philosophy.

UK Parliamentary Papers - ProQuest
Search and access parliamentary Papers from the 18th, 19th and 20th Centuries. Parliamentary Papers are the key source for UK official publishing. These include goverment papers, public inquiries and annual reports presented to Parliament (Command Papers), House of Commons Papers and Hansard reports of parliamentary debates.
