Biography
Angelica joined Keele University as a Lecturer in Law in January 2023, having previously held Lecturer in Law positions at Liverpool Hope University and the University of Huddersfield. She completed her PhD in International Economic Law (trade & clean energy), funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and a member of the Brazilian Bar Association (qualified lawyer).

Research and scholarship
Angelica’s research expertise is in International Trade & Investment Law, Business & Human Rights, Environmental Law (clean energy technologies) and International Dispute Resolution. Her research is interdisciplinary in nature, lying at the intersection of law, business and economics.
When published in Springer series International Law and Economics, Angelica’s monograph Energy Security and Green Energy: National Policies and the Law of the WTO was among the top accessed publications on SpringerLink that concern the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal Affordable and Clean Energy (SDG 7). Angelica is currently working on an edited collection entitled Corporate Responsibility and Accountability in Law and Business.
