Student travel insurance

The University offers in conjunction with its Insurers a travel insurance policy designed specifically for the needs of students who are to take part in the Study Abroad Scheme managed by the Global Education Team, for medical placement students and other trips abroad arranged to support your academic studies.

The policy includes medical and emergency travel cover (whilst abroad), baggage and personal effects, passport cover, personal money and credit cards, personal liability, hijack insurance, personal accident insurance and cancellation and curtailment. The policy also covers pre-existing medical conditions providing you are not travelling against medical advice and are also not travelling to obtain treatment for the condition at the expense of the travel policy. It has been run very successfully for a number of years and although not compulsory, comes highly recommended as we have tailored the cover with our students in mind and it also compares very well with similar policy's offered by external insurance companies.

For Travel between: 01/08/23 - 31/07/24
