KDU International Partnership

KDU University College, Petaling Jaya and KDU College Penang

Keele Management School has been in partnership with KDU University College, Petaling Jaya and KDU College Penang since 2008/9.  Students are able to study in Malaysia for a Keele dual honours degree combining business management with finance, human resource management or marketing.

The degrees at KDU University College and KDU College have the same curriculum as at Keele University.  The universities ensure that comprehensive quality systems are in place for KDU students on Keele courses.  In order to ensure quality delivery of the programmes, staff from Keele Management School visit KDU twice a year and students in Malaysia have access to Keele University’s virtual learning environment to support them in their studies.

Our First Graduates from KDU University College, Petaling Jaya and KDU College Penang Malaysia

October 2011 saw our first cohorts of students graduating with a Keele degree from KDU Malaysia.

Professor David Shepherd, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences, representing the Vice-Chancellor Professor Nick Foskett at the ceremonies said “These ceremonies are a major milestone in the partnership between Keele and the institutions in Malaysia.  It has been a great pleasure for me, and the team from Keele, to be here to present these degrees and diplomas.  Keele University and KDU share in the graduates’ excitement and optimism for the future.” 

Professor Shepherd was joined at the ceremonies by Professor Matthias Klaes and Dr. Matthew Brannan from Keele Management School.

The Vice-Chancellor of KDU, Professor Dr Teoh Kok-Soo, said “I am delighted to welcome the team from Keele University.  It is clear that the students have worked hard and enjoyed their studies and we are particularly proud that four students have achieved first class honours degrees.  We look forward to further high quality collaboration with Keele University as we seek to develop our partnership.”

Some students who have completed their Keele undergraduate degree in Malaysia choose to come to Keele for postgraduate study. Details of the postgraduate courses on offer at Keele Management School can be found here.
