Welcome to Keele Observatory

Welcome to Keele Observatory. It was founded in 1962 to host a 31cm refractor dating back to 1874. It has since acquired a 60cm reflector for research, and undergone significant refurbishment in 2009.

We welcome visits from schools and the public.

International SUNday

Keele Observatory and the North Staffordshire Astronomical Society welcome you to a day of solar observation and other activities at the observatory, on International SUNday 24 June between 11am and 3pm. Free entry, and no booking required.
