Public openings suspended due to corona virus

On advice from the authorities in the face of the corona virus pandemic it has been necessary for the Observatory to suspend all public openings and events until further notice. We apologise for the inconvenience and will update this notification as soon as it changes.

Welcome to Keele Observatory

Welcome to Keele Observatory. It was founded in 1962 to host a 31cm refractor dating back to 1874. It has since acquired a 60cm reflector for research, and undergone significant refurbishment in 2009.

We welcome visits from schools and the public.
