Jesse Layton

“I graduated from Keele University in 2017 before embarking on my first role as a Paralegal at Wright Solicitors shortly after.

Following five months working at the firm I was then offered a Training Contract and simultaneously began studying for my LPC part-time at the University of Law. I am currently heading into my second year and look forward to qualifying as a Solicitor in September 2020.

During my time at Keele I was able to develop the key skills and foundations that are essential for a career in law. I was able to build on my self-confidence by engaging in extra-curricular activities such as mooting, client interviewing and volunteering for CLOCK which I feel provided me with invaluable experience and bridged the gap between training and practice.

I regard the time that I spent at Keele very highly as it set the wheels in motion and not only prepared me for my future career goals in law but also provided me with lots of fond memories along the way.”
