Chloë Meehan - May 2016
As a recent B.Sc (Hons) Physiotherapy graduate from Keele University, I’d like to thank the school for providing me with such wonderful support for the past three years. The SHAR staff always have time for you, no problem is too small. The personal tutor I was allocated in year one provided me with fantastic advice and was always so accessible, thank you.
The wide variety of challenging clinical placements Keele has to offer really makes this course stand out. I have been lucky enough to spend time working in a critical care department, on an oncology/palliative care ward and at a fantastic neurorehabilitation centre in Surrey where I expanded my knowledge and learned great hands on skills. Completing many different placements, starting in year one, gives you a great insight to the variation Physiotherapy has to offer, I’ve learned a lot about the profession and myself.
I’m due to go to Mexico in the summer of 2016, again thanks to Keele and their worldwide links. On this graduate placement I will get the opportunity to work with paediatric patients in a new setting and I’ll get a taste of a different healthcare system. I consider myself a very well-rounded graduate. I can’t wait to build on the skills Keele has taught me in my future career.
