Prunus sargentii 'Princeton Snowcloud'

Prunus sargentii Princeton Snowcloud

This is an American bred hybrid cherry created in the 1980s in New Jersey by open field pollenation of Prunus sargentii ‘Columnaris’ - a fastigiate selection of Sargent’s Cherry.

It is a vigorous grower characterised by very abundant large white flowers. It retains the columnar habit of its P. sargentii parent along with the leaves turning a brilliant red in late autumn.
