Selected and raised by Mr Masatoshi Asari in Matsumae at the southern tip of Hokkaido, Northern Japan from hybridizing P. x yedoensis ‘Somei-yoshino’ and P. ‘Oshima-zakura’.
Blush-white medium-sized semi-double flowers, early to mid season. Young foliage is bronze-coloured.
