Prunus 'Dolenblank' (GRK-03)
This is a recent Dutch-bred cherry raised by Prof. Wybe Kuitert, probably the foremost expert on Japanese flowering cherries, their history, and place in Japanese culture. It is named for the founders of the Japanese garden at Den Helder in Holland.
It is a vigorous cherry with semi-double pinky-white pendant flowers opening as the young leaves emerge.
