Biography
Teresa has been an Occupational Therapy lecturer since 2001. She has worked in a number of Higher Education Institutions and held a number of different roles including practice placement lead for occupational therapy. Teresa previously worked in Rheumatology and Hand Therapy Services.
Teresa is HCPC registered, a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists and an Advanced HE Fellow.
Teresa is passionate about occupational therapy education, curriculum development, practice based learning and supporting students with additional support requirements.
Research and scholarship
Teresa completed her Doctorate in 2018. Her study was titled: Exploring the lived experience of being an Occupational Therapy Student with Additional Support Requirements.
Teresa has presented at National conferences and has published within OT news.
Teaching
Teresa's teaching has been focussed on practical skill development, professional reasoning and decision making in practice, research and independent scholarship and preparation for practice based learning.

Teresa is an external examiner and a British Journal of Occupational Therapy reviewer.
Supervising
Teresa is a PhD supervisor and examiner.
