Alexandra Wilkinson

Biography

Alex graduated from Keele University in 2010 with a BSc 1st Class (Hons) in Physiotherapy. Alex commenced employment from 2010 - 2018 with The Royal Shrewsbury and Telford NHS Trust (SaTH) where she completed a variety of junior rotations, seconded as a Band 6 in Trauma and Orthopaedics and then subsequently specialised as a Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapist.

Throughout her time in SaTH Alex also supported her colleagues as a Chartered Society of Physiotherapy Steward Representative.

In 2018, Alex then commenced employment with Shropshire Community Health Care Trust as a Specialist Respiratory/Pulmonary Rehabilitation Physiotherapist, supporting and treating patients with complex and chronic long-term Respiratory conditions.

Over the years Alex has supported many Keele students within clinical practice, which has been a passion of hers. This has led to Alex joining Keele in August 2022 on a fixed-term contract as AHP Placement Manager.

Alex is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), and The Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Respiratory care (ACPRC) and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
